Facsimile and study of the so-called Mechels Koorboek. This magnificent parchment choirbook comes from the esteemed workshop of Petrus Alamire and most likely was made on the occasion of the coming of age and coronation of Charles V in 1515-1516. It contains exquisite miniatures by Gerard Horenbout and 6 masses by La Rue and 1 by Pierre de Pipelare, notated in classic choirbook format.  The present publication offers a full color reproduction of the MS accompanied by a scholarly commentary in Eng/Dut.
