Leipzig, 1986. Oblong, 18 x 13 cm, iv, 36 pp. Halftone of the autograph score in reduced format issued on the occasion of the bicentennial of the composer’s birth. Based on the 1815 autograph score prepared for the hornist Sebastian Rauch (the original 1806 score is now lost). The piece is well-known and frequently recorded, and demands from the performer an encyclopedic range of effects, including the playing of chords (multiphonics).
