Kassel, 2025. 29 x 39 cm, x, 114, 50, 94 pp.

Deluxe 4-color facsimile of the autograph score, a fair copy with numerous traces of the creative process and revisions. The imaginary Empire of Atlantis, ruled by the megalomaniacal Emperor Overall (a stand-in for Hitler), is the basis of this powerful satirical masterpiece, created by composer and librettist while imprisoned in the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Both creators perished and the work was smuggled out and preserved; it received its premiere in 1975. The Emperor of Atlantis, a scathing critique of militarism, dictatorship and inhuman behavior, is as poignant today as it was in the time it was written. Commentary (Ger/Eng) by a team of specialists: Heidy Zimmermann, Andreas Krause, Ingo Schultz, John Gabriel, Amy Lynn  Wlodarski,  Linen. A 10% discount will be granted to early subscribers. $272
