According to an inscription entered on the inside cover, the work was composed by Telemann at the age of 73. Unusual for its almost complete omission of oratorio-style interpolations (for example, entrance or closing choral sections, or arias or recitatives that elaborate on the Biblical texts). Scored for solo STB, SATB chorus, strings, continuo & two transverse flutes. Laid paper. Wrappers. $29
