Magdeburg, 2007, Oblong, 4°, 3 parbooks, xv, 100 pp. Line-cut of the first edition, Wiesentheid, 1696. The recently rediscovered first edition—now available for the first time in facsimile—does not have some of the errors made by the editors of the Denkmäler edition. The piece, in 7 movements or partitas and principally scored for 2 violins and bc (1 partita is for 2 viole d’amore & bass) employs scordatura tunings (”harmonia artificioso”) in the upper parts. Only partita VI is written for violins in normal tuning. Wrappers. $79
